Great wine bar with lovely Japanese food

Everything on the tasting menu was just melt in your mouth delicious. My favourites would have to be the kingfish tataki and scallop sashimi which were just both super fresh and tasty. The boys in our group were still left hungry after the tasting menu so we ordered the pork belly and a side of the mash potatoes as well which was also another stellar favourite. I've never had mash so silky and creamy! Very impressed by everything and am recommending it to everyone we know.

All the food that we ordered were very awesome and to our surprise we thought the food portion is small but we were full after the 4th dish. We had seared sweet prawn, beef tart, mushroom buckwheat soft egg shio koji, sze chuan oil fermented bean mash, pork dumpling and tempura corn

Amazing food and friendly service. Tables can be a little tight and wines by the glass a little on the more-expensive side. I look forward to dining again!

Service and atmosphere were excellent but the food was just above par, nothing special. We tried the tasting menu and thought the wagyu was pretty disappointing, but the Barramundi was great. To be paying $130 per person including a bottle of wine, still probably expect higher.

A Pleasingly Jarring Experience Owned by chef Hamish Ingham and sommelier (and wife) Rebecca Lines, Bar H Dining is exactly what the name suggests, it’s a wine bar and restaurant that’s fun and vibrant, with a relaxed feel. Perched on a corner formerly housing The Wall cafe, the venue is dark and moody but extremely welcoming.
