Nice atmosphere and food is delicious We had lame cutlet which is very nice and portion are quite big Staffs are very nice The restaurant is a little bit dated anyway

Get a table outside on a fun sunny day and you’ll have an amazing experience eating fabulous food. Amanda is a gem, she is accommodating, helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Loved it

Great food and a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Generous portions make for great value for money. Love this spot as a regular fine dining but without feeling you have to dress up.

The food was good - we certainly didn't over indulge so could be quite costly if you did. The pictures of the place looked much better than reality is basically an old dusty house.

About Amanda's on the Edge

Paddock to plate You might feel that the height of Aussie refinement has been reached when you’re perched on the veranda at Amanda’s on the Edge, gazing out across the vineyard to the gumtrees and paddocks in the distance, a glass of local Hunter Valley chardy within arm’s reach. A momentary distraction comes in the form of the menu and you’re temporarily thrown into turmoil as you attempt to choose between a rack of lamb with roasted vine tomatoes and a crispy skinned duck breast. Both are cooked simply, making the most of local produce, and rely heavily on the premium flavours naturally bestowed on each ingredient. You begin to panic, searching for someone to help with this terrible decision and, of course, to bring you more wine. Luckily a smiling server swiftly recommends the Portuguese spiced spatchcock and all is right with the world. Under the guidance of your new waitperson/lifeline you move inside to a dining room lined with floor to ceiling windows and that glass of wine you were promised appears on your table without comment. It’s official: Amanda’s is your new home. Best dish: Rack of lamb with roasted vine tomatoes
