Dined for lunch with my partner, my sister, my Dad and step-mum. Nik waited on us and the service was lovely right from the start. I asked if we could move to a table at the front of the restaurant and it wasn't a problem. We ordered a bottle of Champagne and a bottle of Cab Sav with our meals, plus other glasses of wine as well. Our meals were all amazing. The 2 eye fillet steaks were cooked perfectly (we asked for the rarer side of med-rare), as was the salmon. The lamb shoulder was delicious and the seafood paella was another fantastic dish. Four of us had desserts and coffees too. Everything was beautiful. I discovered when going to the bathroom that there was only one young girl in the kitchen. I asked her if she had cooked all of the meals by herself and when she said yes, I told her how amazing she was and that everything was delicious. What a great find. We will definitely be going back. Thanks to Nik and a very talented young female chef for a lovely Sunday lunch.

We arrived on time and they couldn't find our booking even though I had received an email from them that day to confirm. We were seated as they weren't busy and ordered a couple of jugs of sangria. We then ordered a pizza, spag bol, chicken parma, beef cheek and steak. Meals took about 30 minutes to come out. The pizza and steak were ok, the parma was warm but burnt on the edges, the spag bol was luke warm and the beef cheek was warm and tough. It was line it had been previously cooked and reheated. It was hard to cut though and a small serve for $28. I've had amazing been cheeks for $22 in a pub in Victoria St Melbourne. We ordered dessert, espresso parfait with half a caramelized banana. It was nice but way over priced at $14 for the serving size. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and are not likely to return.

Dined on a Tuesday night with only 3 other tables occupied. Service was attentive and friendly. Started with a glass each of bubbles which was delicious. Received free warn bread and an appetizer. The entrees of grilled octopus was great and the duck terrine was also very nice. Unfortunately, the loin of lamb pieces just didn't taste fresh, lots of rosemary flavour but the texture of the meat was wrong. The rabbit roulade was nice, but one piece was a little undercooked and the sweet potato on the plate was cold. Our side of beans were overcooked. The waiter offered a replacement meal for the lamb but as we'd already waited 45 minutes for our mains, we decided not to. The 45 minute wait hadn't bothered us as we were enjoying our night, we just didn't want to wait again. We were given more warm bread which was delicious. When we asked for the bill, the lamb meal had been removed. We thought that was nice considering we hadn't asked. Overall we had a nice evening and probably would go back again.

We have dined at Red Spice Road many times and this time took our teenage girls for lunch. Ordered a banquet as we have done previously. My daughter had a piece of very fatty pork belly. When I asked if her piece could be replaced, we were given a whole new plate of pork belly, which was delicious. We all enjoyed the rest of the meal items. There were only 2 other tables of people in the part of the restaurant we were in, however service was slow. After trying to get the waitresses attention, my partner walked up to the bar to order us a second bottle of wine. The guy in charge was very apologetic that we hadn't been served at our table. We were given free desserts and coffees which we throughly enjoyed. We will go back again as we love the food and the service is generally fantastic.

My partner and I dined for dinner on Saturday 26th August 2017 for our anniversary. Our booking was for 6:15pm. We arrived at 5pm to have pre-dinner drinks at the bar. We received a friendly greeting upon our arrival and were seated at the bar. A $140 bottle of champagne, Pommery, was suggested to us. We also purchased some oysters and quail & foie gras parfait. At 6:15pm we were taken to our table. My partner ordered the char grilled octopus for entrèe and the cassoulet for main. I had the eye fillet steak for main and the chocolate fondant for dessert. We asked the waiter for a red wine suggestion and received a 2010 Chateau Boucasse Madiran which we enjoyed with our mains. My partner asked for a glass of white wine to have with the octopus. He was given a Sauvignon Blanc which didn't match. He asked the waiter for another variety. After two more tastings and not liking either of them, plus being half way through his entrée, he decided to give the white wine a miss. That's when we really noticed the decline in customer service towards us and especially noticed the service the couple next to us were receiving. Right from the beginning of the night we noticed there were some people that were being looked after more than others. We thought they may be "regulars" or family, receiving hugs from the wait staff and Philippe's attention. The restaurant wasn't full either as there were several empty tables around us and also on the upper level. A notable portion size of the octopus differed significantly between what we were served and what the table next to us received. Their portion was double the quantity. When I mentioned this to the waiter as we were paying the bill, I was told they were on a different dining menu. We chose this restaurant over many others to celebrate our anniversary. Our overall dining experience was tarnished and we left feeling disappointed. I do expect quite a lot from the food and the service when I'm paying good money, nearly $400, from restaurants with this reputation.

My partner and I dined here last night after the restaurant was recommend by two work colleagues who have recently dined here and loved it. We had the grilled octopus, beef cheeks and the goat. Everything was beautiful, but the goat was the winning dish. I'll be going back to have that again! Service was fantastic too. John, one of our waiters even let us try some wine before committing to purchasing a bottle. Can't wait to go back.

My partner and I have dined here 4 times since August last year and really love the fresh vibrant food, ambience of the restaurant and the attentiveness of the staff. We brought 6 of our friends along yesterday and they were equally impressed. Already looking forward to coming back again soon. I joined the Bite Club after dining at your restaurant on the 26th March, then forgot to scan my membership to claim points from yesterday's lunch. James took my details and said he'd look up the receipt and fix this up for me. Another wonderful experience was had by all.
