Did the BYO lunch which is a great idea. Service was attentive and surroundings a quality vibe. The lamb on the set menu was tender and fall off the bone, and the salads lovely and with an acidic bite that complemented beautifully. However, the zucchini flowers and bread were very oily and the fish a bit average , which, combined with the prosciutto-only entree alternative and the very rich tiramisu, made the overall menu a bit out of balance - some fat/frying moderation will take things next level.

Excellent vibe at the rooftop and wonderful staff who held our table after we said we'd be 30 mins late, easy to get cheap bar snacks and well priced drinks, not too crowded which is amazing given setting and location. Highly recommended.

Lovely setting and excellent service, but I think the food quality has declined in the last 12 months while prices have increased. When paying these prices, the food should be unmatched but other restaurants are doing it better.

Exceptional! We had five share plates between two people and every one was a winner. The kingfish was delicious and the wagyu extraordinary; the wine list is fantastic and the staff attentive and informed. A very special place and one I hope to return to enjoy!

My workmates love Corbett & Claude and we have come for multiple visits and will be returning. Personally, I think there are opportunities for service improvement (our preorder got lost and we had to ask a couple of times for a drink to be delivered); I find the 'large' wine size either overpriced or undersized and the atmosphere a bit noisy; and I am not a fan of the deep fried haloumi add on with salad - but the workmates are returning expressly to try them and love the pizzas - so a crowd pleaser and the lunch specials are very good!

Waterline is a stunning setting overlooking the river and has an indulgent vibe. The food is very good and the servings generous. There is opportunity to fully align service with setting - never easy! - but staff need to be a bit more attentive with pouring and clearing - but please don't tip into the intrusive multiple queries of 'is everything alright?' Very nearly excellent and well worth a visit.

Half price dining exceptional value; 3 adults full for under $40. This is an enthusiastic local that serves good food generously, broad menu range and nice vibe. Fresh pasta might be a nice angle? Opportunity to improve service; owners/staff are keen and knowledgeable but the wait for drinks is a bit too long if you are ordering by the glass (maybe the tip is to order a bottle and relax as the food shows up very promptly). Have been three times and will be back; shows promise to seek continued improvement.

10/10 across the board. 7 work colleagues for half price dining team bonding lunch. Food could be preordered and was served immediately on arrival, generous portions beautifully prepared and delicious, excellent pinot gris and less than $15 each to eat in elegant surroundings and with subtle, smooth service. Faultless. Felafel platter and fish and chips were highly recommended and carnivores pizza filled up the big eater. Well done.

Half price dining deal was fantastic; $45 for brunch for three was great value. Serves of breakfast sides were generous - heapings of mushrooms! Would encourage the wait staff to be a little less attentive; multiple checks on drinks, orders, satisfaction became a little intrusive - but hard to fault enthusiasm. Booking had to be double checked as a manual system was operating but staff attended to dimmi booking unquestioning and applied discount no problem. Main road setting is nothing special but it's a pleasant, shaded and convivial place to eat.

We had 7 workmates for Xmas lunch who enjoyed food, setting, service: $10 lunch deal is tops: pizzas are generous, Goddess Salad lovely, (add protein for fullness, though). Gnocchi looked uninspiring but the work colleague enjoyed. However, I thought I was ordering a $8 glass of pinot noir; turns out a regular serve is $11, which I rate as restaurant prices, not bistro - the staff didn't check serving size with mew so the extra $6 for two glasses of a pretty ordinary drop on my expected bill of $26 a bit out of proportion. 2nd time I've been here and I rate a bit patchy but overall pretty good value for money.

Two people, two burgers, two glasses of wine, less than $50 total. Glasses were generous, burgers were delicious and they didn't hold back on the haloumi! Service largely attentive, not intrusive and the slightly moody interior surrounds made a nice contrast to the sunny Queensland day outside. Worth a visit.

Indonesian corn fritters were delicious and fish tacos and wedges were highly praised. Would have preferred the won tons steamed instead of deep fried - maybe note on the menu? - as it overcooks the shredded beef filling. The randang beef curry was much too overcooked and the fried rice was spicier than the young palate anticipated - our fault but maybe worth noting for younger diners. Setting is lovely but we had quite a long wait for service between first and second drinks. Accommodated an extra diner no problem and very graciously so main suggestion is for the kitchen to apply a lighter touch in spice and cooking time. Shows promise.

Asparagus gnocchi starter and baked eggplant main were excellent and surprisingly filling; we struggled to finish the beetroot salad side and couldn't step up for dessert. The Pink Fizz sparkling rose was a different surprise but very nice and well described by our waitress. The service was perhaps a little effusive in checking everything was well but it's hard to criticise attentiveness, although the front desk could have been a little more attentive to customers before other staff. The setting is smashing and feels very indulgent but perhaps scratched table surfaces could be refurbished to align with an otherwise top shelf impression. Very nice indeed and recommended.

The lamb and barley salad was amazing - so tender, no cutting required! Staff were attentive but not intrusive and the setting was lovely: a bar with character and charm downstairs, a lovely, light filled restaurant upstairs that allowed privacy while still being well attended. Definitely keen to return!

Lunch deal is excellent value: 2 courses + glass house wine. I had bruschetta and green peas risotto and save blanc: serves were generous, taste was great and risotto was grainy, not the disappointing slurry one often receives. Kudos to the single waitress managing a busy lunch time crowd, I will return!

We waited 50 minute wait for a glass of wine and cold doughy zucchini fritters with burnt, limp haloumi sans even lettuce then a further 30 minutes to get a pot of tea and a second glass. I cheer the excited youngsters enjoying high tea in the school holidays with their grandparents but the hard timber surfaces made for incredible noise which made conversation and relaxation for other patrons difficult - a pity since my 75yo mother is their target market - and service was dismissive at best. Shingle Inn trades on a long Brisbane history but one well past retirement, based on our experience today. Cheap eats is the best I can suggest but any food court in the CBD would be a better deal. I would not return and cannot recommend.

Service was most attentive, cash-free venue happy to split bill on cards but quite noisy and in the process of changing menus so only 1 of 3 salads was available - but partly our fault for ordering salad at a pasta and pizza bar, although salad was really a bowl of grain - more vegies and more than two slices of haloumi would be appreciated. The pizzas other diners ordered looked amazing and generous and the folded pizza presented as a must try! $30 for 2 with Dimmi 50% off, including a glass of wine exceptional value.

I'm not a seafood eater, but I braved the salt and pepper calamari and the baked snapper in the Signature Lunch and am totally converted! Delicious! Wines were lovely - even the house wine - and the service attentive, not invasive - each encounter perfectly timed. Price was very reasonable, less than expected - We plan to return!

Set lunch available on Saturdays - brilliant! Enjoyed a relaxed ladies' lunch with a girlfriend; attentively but not intrusively attended and the gnocchi was great, esp for two vegos. Enjoyed very much and have recommended to a work colleague today.

Beef cheeks were traditionally tender and delicious, the bruschetta was generous and hearty and the Italian wine and margharitas excellent. Service was attentive but not invasive; we left a $50 tip to our $150 bill which probably says it all. Recommended to friends the next night and very likely to be back with the kids for pizza.
