Bistro Cocotte

Haberfield

Sylvia dined on Fri, 19th Oct 2018 (8)

From when we arrived, we had to wait almost 40mins for service, however once we got the wait staff to take our order the food and wine was good and and served on time.

The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room

Sydney CBD

Sylvia dined on Fri, 6th Jul 2018 (7)

Smaller selection of seafood than expected. For an oyster bar it only had one style of oyster ie freshly shucked. We had timeframe to eat and limited menu that was available in that timeframe. One dish we ordered (which was seafood) was off the menu. Having said this what we chose was good.

Salt Meats Cheese- Circular Quay

Circular Quay

Sylvia dined on Sun, 3rd Jun 2018 (6)

Restaurant was quite simple layout with simple but limited menu including beverage menu. Would have liked to see a little more on the menu to choose from.

Maccoa Restaurant

Terrigal

Sylvia dined on Sat, 28th Apr 2018 (8)

Food was really good. Choice of wine list a little limited but we did enjoy the Rose we chose. The ambiance was cafe style - good for breakfast and lunch not stylish enough for dinner.

Grazing Restaurant

Gundaroo

Sylvia dined on Sat, 14th Apr 2018 (9)

There were great choices to make in the food and the quality was spectacular. We discovered a lovely Rose which belonged to a little boutique winery next door. We investigated it the next day. We were so glad we ate at this restaurant and will go back again.

Alex & Co

Parramatta

Sylvia dined on Wed, 29th Nov 2017 (9)

First time I dined at Alex & Co and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the restaurant, the food and the service. Wait staff were attentive. The steak was delicious. Will certainly go again and recommend to others.

Encasa Restaurant Pitt Street

Sydney CBD

Sylvia dined on Fri, 29th Sep 2017 (9)

Enjoyed Encasa. It's not been the first time we've been. Close to the theatre and provided a quick dinner at good value and got us to the theatre on time.

Ripples Milsons Point

Milsons Point

Sylvia dined on Fri, 27th May 2016 (8)

Great location. Views were fantastic Easy walk from the station. Menu was a little limited but food was good.

The Malaya

Darling Harbour

Sylvia dined on Sat, 21st May 2016 (9)

Views were lovely. Great to go in a group. Food was a little spicy but flavoursome. Catered for gluten free friend very well. Service was good.

Balla

Pyrmont

Sylvia dined on Fri, 13th May 2016 (9)

This was not our first time eating at Balla. The service and food was still impeccable. Though it is an Italian Restaurant I would really like to see more Australian wines on the list. The imported wines were expensive and unknown to us. Overall it is a wonderful dining experience and the wait staff couldn't be more helpful. Thank you

Ester

Chippendale

Sylvia dined on Fri, 6th May 2016 (8)

Wait staff were very helpful Food was excellent and diverse Late dinner sitting was a little difficult however enjoyed experience nonetheless

Via della Spiga

North Sydney

Sylvia dined on Fri, 29th Apr 2016 (7)

Good location. Good food. Value for money

Sharak Japanese Izakaya Restaurant

Sydney CBD

Sylvia dined on Sat, 20th Feb 2016 (7)

System of ordering is really efficient however becomes somewhat impersonal when food just comes to the table with no interaction from waitstaff.

Nu Nu Restaurant

Palm Cove

Sylvia dined on Wed, 4th Nov 2015 (3)

I was very disappointed in the night generally. Though we sat outside which was lovely, we sat pretty much in the dark so couldn't see our food. We had to use our phones to see what we had received and were eating. The food had lots of ingredients which were unidentifiable particularly because we couldn't see them. The portions were quite small. The wine was very expensive and though we didn't get the cheapest wine, wines we purchased were unpleasant. I didn't like any of the meals I asked for and had to send my main back because the tortellini were raw. They were only marginally better when they returned. Overall I don't think I can recommend this restaurant to others.

Salsa Bar & Grill

Port Douglas

Sylvia dined on Thu, 29th Oct 2015 (8)

The first time we patronised the restaurant we really enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We came back 3yrs later but it wasn't how we remembered it. It didn't have the same service or atmosphere and the food was different than what I remembered or expected however all was still good. I would still recommend it and probably return should I go back to Port Douglas in the future.
