With a warm and cosy interior and a Zen-like courtyard, Sage is deserving of its popularity among locals, who are well aware of their good fortune. Alfresco dining doesn't get much better in summer than Sage's courtyard - a fairy light-strewn space, gently illuminating a pond and neat greenery. The modern Australian menu features innovative and mouth-watering combinations of ingredients and styles. Changing frequently to keep things fresh and interesting, the menu might include such tempting combinations as Jerusalem artichoke and baby spinach with chive creme fraiche, or seared tuna with harissa.

"We had a mixed night with the food. Two dishes were served luke warm and that didn't suit the dishes or our taste. The other meals were good to very good. The whitebait would have survived a little more cooking and seasoning, but still, good. A single Rose wine selection was available - a good choice but we'd have welcomed at least one other selection. Service was very good - not too attentive but polite and consistently good. Well done. Also well done on not picking up on a faux pas during our menu selection. We will certainly try again."

"Absolutely spectacular food, very special. Be careful about sneaky extra costs though eg. the impression of bread rolls being a freebie turned out to be $3.00 per roll and the wine list is expensive and BYO is $16 corkage per bottle. Also the impression is given that only the 4 course dinner is available... I think you can still have a 3 course if you want."
