La Mint doesn't immediately give itself away as a Vietnamese restaurant. The long elegant space with its crisp white lines, square timber pillars and slate-grey brickwork could house any restaurant in Sydney. Low tables down one side of the room lend a hint of traditionalism to an otherwise modern Western space. The menu is similarly ambiguous in places, reflecting the significant influence of French colonisation. Dishes might include a La Mint specialty of shaking beef with snake beans or drunken mud crab, or a distinctly Gallic-influenced oxtail a la bourguignon.

"We love this place - we had food delivered a few years ago, and said the next time we were in sydney we would check out the restaurant. The food was just how we remembered it, and has combined French and Asian influences. The santons filled with cream cheese are incredible and the pork belly is delicious. We highly recommend this beautiful restaurant."
