I have always enjoyed going to this long established Fitzroy eatery. The food is always delicious, plentiful and exceptionally good value for money. We ordered the banquet for 4 and had very friendly and efficient service. It is a small, casual restaurant and can be rather noisy when full, but is consistently one of the best Indian meals to be had in the inner north.

The decor of Fitz Curry Cafe is very simple yet welcoming. clearly what you expect from a cheap eats curry cafe. the food was really nice and cheap. We had the lamb vindaloo (medium heat) and the butter chicken. the curries were nice and tasty, the vindaloo was a bit mild at medium spiciness but the staff were more than willing to accommodate by providing us with freshly sliced chillies. the naan garlic naan was actually some of the best naan I've had in a while, both in flavour and texture. we will certainly be back, especially as they have a BYO policy and only $1.50 corkage PP.
