Cracked Pepper Restaurant offers a unique blend of fine dining flavours in an elegantly relaxed dining room with friendly, attentive & knowledgeable service. Their dishes are like a good fine wine - a treat for the senses, something to be savoured & enjoyed. Comprehensive menus for the hearty eaters, dainty diners and even those with special dietary (eg Coeliacs and Vegetarians) are spoilt for choice. Advance Booking is advised to ensure your dining experience. Try their new 'Tasting Platters' - east meets west style of dining for a group of four or more. The restaurant is spacious and light by day for lunches and takes on a more intimate mood for dinner, by the subtle rearrangement of tables, screens and subdued lighting. There is plenty of onsite parking at the side and back and the restaurant is next to Butterflies Gallery and deJuliis winery. Awarded 'Best New Restaurant' in the Hunter Valley for 2008 by the NSW Restaurant & Catering Association

"The food was excellent abd the service well paced. There was a minor issue with one of the courses, which did not distract from the quality or taste of the food, and they credited that course of the bill. That is a real customer focus. We will be coming back when we visit the Hunter next time. "

"We booked Cracked Pepper for our anniversary lunch. Food was excellent, with a perfect matching wine. Service was smooth & personal, with a big surprise at desert (for our anniversary) We had a table overlooking the garden, and that was beautiful. All in all we had a memorable lunch."

"Underwhelming. The menu was uninspiring and the food was ok, but didn't set my world on fire, especially compared to other restaurants in the Hunter we've eaten at. My pasta needed a lot of seasoning and was bland. It's in such a lovely setting but the reflective glass spoils any view and ambiance - makes you feel boxed in. When I booked, I'd made a point of saying that it was a special night - the next day after our wedding, but on arrival we were told to "just sit anywhere" but by the windows (even though I was clear upon booking that we would like a window/view) When another couple arrived they were seated almost on top of us (by the window) even though there was not another soul in the premises, so our night was spent overhearing their loud conversation. Our meals took such a long time to arrive even though the restaurant was almost empty. Overall, quite disappointing "

"It was just lovely & the service was fantastic. My husband would have liked more food for his main as he felt it was too small a serve, he had the pork belly. I found it perfect for me, I had the salmon ,& it was amazing. The only thing I could say, is a solar light in the far back carpark as it was very dark walking back to our car. We parked there because the front car park was completely full when we arrived. Thanks for a great night"
