About Bedda

Bedda is an intimate, modern Italian-European restaurant. This warm and welcoming restaurant provides a superb and unpretentious dining experience that will have you hooked from the moment you walk in. Diners can expect gorgeous food made with fresh and wherever possible organic local produce that is beautifully complemented by a carefully selected wine list. The menu is constantly on the move, changing every two to three weeks in order to take advantage of seasonal produce from local Victorian suppliers. The restaurant philosophy is built on strong, ethical animal husbandry and all of the produce comes from suppliers that follow the very best ethical farming practices. Opt for a simple fresh pasta and a glass of wine or cocktail at the bar, or go all out with the more elaborate ‘feed me’ degustation style feast, where the knowledgeable team look after you for an evening of wine and food pleasure – either way you’ll be in foodie heaven. Italians are all about sensorial and social pleasure, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at Bedda.

We visited Bedda for Sunday lunch. Loved the imaginative hand prepared antipasto plate and enjoyed the roast and tiramisu that followed. Overall my sense was a restaurant who are trying to deliver great food and overall experience. i would definitely return

Delicious & different Sicilian nibbles, followed by the succulent tortellini al brodo, then the superlatively cooked sublime Angus steak & gratin, capped off - for someone who never eats sweets - with the mouthwatering icecream hamburgers....hmmm. Beautiful, reasonably priced wines to complement and friendly, unfussy service. Cafe Bedda is the best-tasting, best-priced restaurant north of the city. If you live in Northcote, you're lucky. Otherwise it's worth the drive or cab or Uber....none Bedda.
Hi Philip and many thanks for your lovely and may I say beautifully written review :-) Wonderful to get such positive feedback
