Tell me about Dimmi Overflow

How it works
1. A customer calls your restaurant
to book
2. If the call is not answered within 3 rings,
it diverts to your Dimmi reservationist
3. Your dedicated Dimmi reservationist takes
the call and confirms the booking on your behalf
It's that simple. Never miss another
booking

Frequently Asked
Questions
How do my unanswered calls get through to the Dimmi
reservations office?
By simply inputting the correct diversion code on your business
phone, calls will divert to our dedicated reservations office if
they are unanswered after 3 rings. Our reservations team are there
to guide you through the process.
Do I need to take Dimmi online bookings to use this
service?
Yes. Our reservations agents utilise the Dimmi online booking
service to help fill your restaurant. If you are not currently
taking online bookings, and would like to start, please let us know
and we can help you through the process.
How do non-reservation calls get through the restaurant,
such as accounts and suppliers?
We encourage the use of a mobile contact number (i.e. your Chef
or Beverage Manager) for suppliers. In the event that we take a
supplier or accounts call, we take the relevant information and
email to your nominated address.
Will this service work with any phone
system?
Dimmi Overflow is designed to work with both Telstra and VOIP
phone services. Just let us know which phone carrier you use, and
we will run you through the simple process of applying the
diversion.
How do I know my customers are being treated
well?
We take great pride in our team of hospitality reservations
professionals, who approach customers with a friendly, helpful and
positive attitude. Our calls are also recorded and we invite all
our Dimmi Overflow clients to listen to their booking
recordings.
How are group bookings managed?
We request that bookings up to 15 guests are bookable by our
reservations team. Over that number, we will simply take the
relevant information and send to your nominated email address so
you can manage deposits, set menus, etc.
I already have a reservations person. Why would I need
this service?
The reality is that even with a reservations manager employed in
your restaurant, they won't be able to take every call - this
includes calls outside their working hours & days, or even
simply walking out of the office for a few minutes. We have a team
of dedicated reservations agents to work alongside your
reservations manager to ensure you never miss a call.
We don't get enough calls to need this
service.
Our research shows that up to 35% bookings are made outside
general restaurant trading hours, leaving potential bookings at
risk. Our reservations agents are here to take your calls 7 days a
week.
How do you ensure my restaurant doesn't
overbook?
Our reservations team are only able to book as many customers as
your Restaurant Diary allocation allows, so there is no chance of
overbooking.
