Meet the Dimmi team: a bunch of food-loving, restaurant review toting professionals who are passionate about bringing diners and restaurants together.
Growing up in an Italian family in Sydney, Stevan spent every Sunday eating with family. Great food in great company became a big part of his life. Stevan naturally ended up in hospitality, and gained marketing experience across Sydney, London and New York. In 2005 he was responsible for the launch of the $400M Hilton Sydney including the iconic Glass Brasserie and the highly awarded Zeta bar. He was also responsible for a portfolio of 30 Hilton Hotels, restaurants, golf courses and day spas across the UK, launching the Doubletree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn brands into the European market. He won the UK's coveted Young Hospitality Marketeer of the Year Award in 2007. Now he's back in Australia, pursuing his vision with Dimmi.
John has worked on technology projects ranging from power station design software to internet share trading for organisations across the utility and finance sectors. His most recent role was with a financial services startup that achieved outstanding success in its sector. Outside work he supports a major brain cancer research charity. John holds a BSc in pure mathematics from Sydney University.
Asheesh has a strong record of working with fast growing technology companies both in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region. Asheesh is not your average bean counter and is focused on ensuring the finance team enhances and not stifles the growth of the business. Asheesh's past experience includes managing the outsourced finances relationships of Facebook Australia, Tibco Software, Intercall Asia Pacific and Sound Alliance. Asheesh is a CA of the Institute of Charted Accounts in Australia and outside of work is happy to play any sport to stave off a rapidly slowing metabolism.
Mark joined Dimmi in early 2012 and heads up marketing, partnerships and the Dimmi Booking Network. He is cool, calm and collected (most of the time!) and has to do a lot of hand holding (metaphorically and physically). He lives and breathes digital, having worked across mobile and online advertising channels for the last 10 years. Mark has a degree in Marketing and a postgrad in IT. He climbs small mountains, paddles kayaks along very long rivers and spends as much time as possible enjoying the great Australian outdoors.
UK born and a founding team member of Dimmi, Simon is a passionate Manchester United fan and brings this passion to the Dimmi team. Simon has a strong hospitality and marketing background and was last found at O2 within the launch team of the Apple iPhone into the UK market. Simon has been in Australia for 6 years and can often be found in restaurants around the state enjoying fine food and wine.
Michael was instantly drawn to Dimmi as it combined his extensive experience in owning and running restaurants with his passion for online. Having been involved with some innovative and cutting edge multi media production at Orion Media, Michael has seen the business grow from day 1. Michael and his team seek to add value to every restaurant across Victoria & South Australia, helping them to innovate and adapt to the demands of the modern day diner.
